This is a really handy unit to have. I already had a nice USB tester. However the ability to fully evaluate all the different modes on a PD or QC charger (not to mention a whole bunch of other protocols) is especially handy. Also good to be able to read the e-marker chips in higher wattage USB C cables. It will tell you exactly what the manufacturer claims the cable power capacity and USB version (e.g. speed) from the chip. It has the look and feel of a quality product, along with quality packaging and well thought out user interface for such a simple thing. Pretty easy to figure out. My pictures show tests of a charger, resistance readings from a couple of cables, as well as a cable chip readouts. All cables tested so far haven't had a manufacturer listed. Not sure if that is because they are off brand cables not from major manufacturers that do not include an ID.. The manual is pretty good. The one thing it could really use is a menu tree for reference. I plan on creating one. Not sure if I will be able to add that to the pictures later. If so I will post it later. About the only tricky thing to learn is that for most of the PD tests you must power the unit from a 5 volts supply to the micro-USB (PC) connector so that the tester has power during interruption as the charger cyucles through the power changes requested by the test. I just tested the cables and charger from my last Banggood order. Moving forward I will test all future purchases.

These is a sophisticated charger board. Something that was not clear to me was that you should order the version appropriate for the number of lithium cells you plan on using 1S, 2S, 3S, 4S and 5S refers to the number of cells (which also determines the maximum output power). You can change resistors to reconfigure, but it is easier to just order the version you need since they are all the same price. Also, be sure to print the pages from the web site when you purchase it. There's no link to a PDF, so you will need to save that information for reference. Finally, the build quality looks good with one exception. The LED display is soldered at a crooked angle to the LED sub assembly (see picture6). That's sloppy workmanship. Not sure if I will make a claim, but definitely disappointing for a US $16 board. Other than that it looks good, so minus one star for that. I won't be able to test it right away, so hopefully it is functional.

This is a well conceived and excellently thought out product. It is well packaged and includes USB-C to USB-C (charging only) and USB-A to USB-C cable (charge+data) cables, a nice carry bag, and if you plan on using it as a power bank a sticker for TSA to view the capacity. You can use it as a charger, or as a power bank. Even if you primarily use it as a charger it's nice to have the power bank feature. It supports both charge (sync) and source (charger) on the USB-C port at 5, 9, and 12 volts (fast charge of the cells, or fast charge of your device. On the USB-A port it supports QC charging, again at 5, 9, and 12 volts. Output is rated at 15 watts at 5 V and 18 watts at 9 and 12V and my initial tests appears to confirm this. NOTE: you must have matched cells in place to get PD/QC fast charging and 18W output. Plus it has a voltage and current meter built in that works both during charging and discharging. You can switch between the two cells to monitor them separately.The lid is held on magnetically so it isn't going to wear out. And they even included some o-rings to help keep 18mm cells from becoming dislodged, though it will work without them. As a former product manager I have to commend this teams for thinking through the product and accessories so well. A general warning on purchasing cell to use with this. There are many low quality cells out there. Name brand cells (for example Panasonic, LG, and Samsung will weigh more and will have more mah capacity).

Q: Is there a thicker version available? 1 mm is extremely think and reduces the advantage of the flexible butyl rubber if there is so little. I am definitely interested in buying a thicker version, Ideally 3-4mm thick.

KEEP THIS IN MIND. This doesn't convert voltages. It simply requests a particular voltage from the PD compatible power supply/charger. It can be used in two ways. First it can confirm if your PD supply can provide the different voltages. Basically a tester. Secondly, this can be used to adapt a PD charger into a fixed voltage output power source. So, if you need a 12 volt power supply this could create one from a PD programmable output supply. Appear to be well made. I only tried a very quick test so can't say yet if they work, but they do respond to pressing the button. It is rather sophisticated but appears to work on it's own without having to add anything. Adding a tiny voltmeter is a nice thing to do so you can verify what the power supply is putting outafter the decoy requests PD voltages. I advise purchasing the version with no terminal, or screw terminals. The version with the USB-A socket is a disaster waiting to happen as it can deliver more than 5 Volts to a device expecting 5. Could be a disaster.

BG414616934 Yes.The box does not state this. Mine is currently charging and I was able to draw power from the USB-A connector.

Q: How thick are the prongs? I bought a similar one and they were too thin. They should be 1.5 mm thick or they barely make contact and creat heat or sparks!

BG414616934 Ikeep it set to check health parameters every 30 minutes. I charge it 2-3 times a week. I only rarely use it for talking on the phone or for music.

BG414616934 Theissue would be the clip point, My guess is that you would get better results with the 24 Volt supply, especially if you added a large 10,000 to 20,000 micro-farad stiffening capacitor. But certainly there's no reason not to try both ways.

I bought two of these and liked them so much I bought 2 more. You really can't beat the VALUE at the US $14 price. As I stated in my previous review, this is a well built and extremely well thought out product complete with accessories. ON this review I will discuss my testing. The USB A ports supports: Apple 5V .5 Amp (2.5 Watts) BCP1.2 5V 1.5 Amp (7.5 Watts) The USB C port supports: Apple 5V 2.4 Amp ( BCP 1.2 DCP 5V 1.5 Amp ( Samsung ACP 9V Huawei FCP 5, 9, 12 V QC 2.0 5, 9, 12 V QC 3.0 12.13 V max PD Spec: 3.0 18W First 2 photos are USBA, second 2 photos show USBC. (Tester is FNIRSI FNB48P) I have not attempted load testing the max ratings (maybe in the next review if I buy more of these) To summarize, this is all consistent with the manufacturer's specifications. I remain VERY happy with this purchase.

BG414616934 Highspeed data is unlikely to pass anyway due to stray capacitance. This is mostly useful for charging or to connect test equipment.

BG414616934 Sadlyone of these failed. I am pretty sure that was after using a QC charger to a device that supports QC charging. I would advise using 5 volt chargers only.
