This is a compact and well constructed item. The board is clearly marked and setup instructions are readily available online. SInce I bought 20 of them I am glad they did not include instructions with each one! The 20 relays were well packaged and padded and shipping was fast.

It is smaller than I thought it would be! Every Sonoff product I have gotten so far works very well. They have all needed a firmware update. The ewelink app lets you know this and you cannot enroll the units until you update them. It is easy to do, Tap in the upper right corner, select settings and tap on firmware. It will appear that nothing is happening but it is downloading the update. If you go back one page you will see progress indicator. If you are tapping a lot when you think nothing is happening the ewelink app will tell you to stop doing that. If the update fails, try it again and wait this time. I have recommended Sonoff products to a friend and I am looking to add more of them to my farm.

I had some trouble getting started with it but I have it working now. I made it work by using the MD_72XX library and the examples that come with the library and changing the hardware type from PAROLA to ICSTATION. Before doing that, the text was reversed.

The enclosure is heavy duty and thick. It feels strong, not cheap. Two clear o-rings came with mine and they were stuck together. At first I did not realize there were two of them. In the picture the o-rings are black. Of course that does not matter. The box is small and the Sonoff basic barely fits in it, but it does fit and the box has a gasket, the o-rings and some seals for the cables so you can be confident using it. You can probably fit some small projects in it too, but a UNO is too big for it. After seeing the box, I would not hesitate to order another one if I needed it.

This is a perfect solution for powering a breadboard. It will be ready to work with whenever you want to without having to power the board from an external source. The on/off switch is a nice feature. You do have to use your own AC adapter to power this device. In my case I am using a 12v supply. It will also work with 9 volt power into it.

This is a well made item. It appears to be the same as what might be used on commercial products. Well made, sturdy and solid.

I did not know about or order these when I bought the NRF24 boards. Tutorials taught me that these make it way easier to work with the NRF24 and they are so affordable there is no reason not to use them in most cases. I don't like to tell people what to do but I'm telling you to get some of these things if you want to try working with NRF24. It can help to prevent smoking the radio which can happen if you accidentally connect to 5v or more. You want a good stable 3 volts into the radio and that's what this is. You need it.
