USB powered ! Metal construction with some plastic parts. I use the loupe at the history museum where I work both to repair mechanical watches, to inspect coins and bills AND as a desk lamp ! It has 3 types of light : yellow, combined and white. Magnification factor is around 2X I think. Very good product overall!

BG132421219 Youcan use this to work on mechanical hand and pocket watches, to solder, inspect and repair PCB boards, to do scientific research on materials, to inspect coins and bills, in jewellery AND to study insects. Basically is a fun scientific tool to use for a lifetime !

Good quality microscope. Aluminum alloy and plastic parts. Good price point for trinocular scope. Support rods are stainless steel and aluminum. Working plate seems to be magnesium-aluminum alloy. Good quality industrial paint on lens casings and all aluminum parts. The optical image quality is amazing !!! Overall very satisfied with product !! The instruction manual is for a different model but that didn't bother me because I was able to assemble it just by looking at the photo from the site.
