Overall the saw is good. But. This saw might become dangerous! Please check yours before use! This thing is giving me a little bit of headache... It's brushless, it's beautiful, the build quality is absolutely fine for most parts, and it seems to be capable of good functionality - BUT there is one huge quality control oversight (on the saw I got), which poses quite the risk: The lower retractable blade guard has a horrible fit on the arbor housing. There is A LOT of play, which translates to an extremely wobbly guard with almost 4mm lateral movement. This leads to the carbide tips of the saw blade catching on the edge of the sheet metal that connects the lever to the blade guard. If this happens at full speed it can and will have disastrous consequences. I was able to bend the blade guard in such a way that even at its extremes the blade won't touch the guard, but it's not a great solution... It would be best to replace the circlip holding the guard in place with a thicker one, or to add a washer. The second notable letdown of this saw is the shoe. It bends in a few places and looks and feels extremely cheap. It works, but this is not a precision instrument. Check if you need to tighten the front pivoting connection of saw and shoe - mine was very loose and wobbly. The bundled batteries are as cheap as can be. They only weigh 436g and feel extremely fragile. I have not been able to measure the capacity yet, but they seem to have 1.5 to maybe 2.0 Ah. They can not be charged in a Makita charger. The supplied charger is a simple CV/CC charger, which charges the batteries to 20.7V. When the retractable lower blade guard works as intended this is pretty good saw. It could be a great saw though, if the guard was redesigned (while you're at it, make it a tad bit bigger, so that it can more comfortably take 185mm blades), and if it was given a better shoe. Maybe a diecast one with track compatibility? You would have an absolute winner!

alexander You don't need a bluetooth code. The thermometer does need to be paired with your phone. Just open the appand click on "Pair".

Q: is the motor brushless?

demandé par BG234816145 sur 2020-10-05 10:04:41

alexander I would like to know as well... But considering that they are not advertising it on the tool, and judging by the size of that motor housing, I think chances are very high that it has a brushed motor.

Q: Is it okay to give this as a gift?

demandé par Pierre sur 2019-10-07 11:59:48

alexander DO NOT BUY them. They are wrongly shaped (tapered edges - you will not reach the sides of the sensor well). Also the solution will smear on your sensor. I wrote a review and included photos, but it was censored.

gavigual Onmy case B1=4.2V, b2=8.3V, B =12,5V. I do not know why so in your case.
