ovix9r I have this device. I am running debian 11 bullseye with virtual box with home assistant. CPU Load <40% memory <70% temps ~ 60C. I am also playing with the machine for some avr assembler compiling. Also some rdp connection. No sweat. Yes it works.

Q: My clock is faster with 27 minutes per 12 hours ... I change crystal and result is similar...

ovix9r The issue is power supply and ds1307. The specs of ds 1307 are decent of about 20ppm but we are are not getting near that. My solution was to remove the chip and optional the crystal and connect a small module with ds3231 and supercapacitor with 4 wires +, -, sclk and sdat. The result is beautiful ie better than 1 ppm. My problem is now the temperature which is off by about 4C at 21C. Will replace the thermistor or use a pot in addition/place to the 10k.
