Q: can you connect it directly on transformer stepted down ac, and then rectified to a dc with downwaves inverted up, or do I have to flatten the sinusoid as much as possible, bring it up to + with as much power? So, basically - step down transformer + rectifier bridge, or do I need a full fledged PSU before this one?

TimTron Hi no DC in and DC out only please see specs at the bottom page of the B900W. I have one and it works great as stated 8)

TimTron It should work fine and when download or upload with chirp chose your radio model 8)
