Nice quality bulb with good rubberised protection to the chip. I used a couple of these to replace 12v halogen bulbs on a desk lamp and kitchen under-cupboard lights so comparing the 2: due to the small circuit, the light source is slightly further away from the contacts. This alters the thrown in the kitchen and so the light does not cover quite as large an area. I have no way of quantifying it but from observation I would say these are slightly dimmer than the halogens. I tried them in a desk lamp where the throw is not a factor and they still seem to be slightly dimmer. I would also say the colour temp is very slightly warmer than the halogen but you can only really notice this when they are viewed side by side. Good bulb but I think I'll try something different for the others.
