A good value rc truck for a sensible kid aged 7-14. It requires some skill and concentration to master and any skill you dont have you can learn on this platform in a wide open space. I like how there is a dual rate dial on the transmitter throttle to slow it down for someone not used to running an rc... extends battery run time and prevents damage due to crashing. When dialed up this truck can hold its own to my old 1990's 1/10th scale brushed buggy using a 6 cell nimh battery. The truck has had several crashes and lived. hood pins and battery hold down can be a little tricky to put back on, pliers help. Main weakness to this truck is in the rear diff, the pinion gear strips as its just plastic. Diffs are tight out of the box and should be checked for tightness. Ours was too tight and ate a gear. Check Youtube for a how to fix video. My son loves it and I do too.
