This is an excellent fly box at a bargain price. The box is well designed and constructed, with good hinges and latches, and it is crush and impact resistant. It has a pretty good sized capacity, while still able to fit in most vest pockets. The box is able to hold all but the largest nymphs and fresh water streamers, without cramming and mashing them when the lid is when closed, and the transparent lid makes it easy to find a particular pattern. It is not meant for big poppers and large salt water flies. The easy-grip foam, as usual, works best for streamers, nymphs, and foam terrestrials, but hackled dries get a little mangled by the foam. The foam holds flies securely, and it stands up pretty well, without getting shredded by bards and hook points. After an unfortunate float tube mishap, I found out the waterproof gaskets on my boxes leak, and when damp flies are put away, they trap moisture in the box, promoting mold if left closed for a while. Overall, I think this is a great fly box, and would definitely buy again.
