Roger Havecut a fair amount of 1 to 3" branches with it now, and can say I am pleased with everything except the battery charge time. The batteries do have good battery protection circuit, that shut down on thermal overload, or low voltage. Can say that I have pushed the saw past both of these limits. Got it hot enough that there was a bit of smoke from the motor, but it quickly cooled, and started working again. No apparent damage. Good that there are two batteries so that you can keep cutting after first one dies. Need to keep the housing tight against the larger limbs, so that it will not chatter or vibrate violently. Keeps the chain tighter if you do not let it chatter excessively while cutting. Have bought a second one for my niece to cut the bamboo that is taking over her back yard.
