This tip has a neat design when piping whipped frosting. It did not fair very well with buttercream. Make sure you wash it very, very good before first use. We cleaned ours and used it with white frosting and it left little grey lines of manufacturing residue on the cupcake. We removed it and cleaned a second time with a small pipe cleaner to get all of the tiny grooves clean and then it was great!.
