I have already bought another three of these, so these two go directly to the stock. They are very handy and also accurate for the intended usage. In the photo is one of them used to turn ON/OFF the fan that cools the transformer of a power supply. In contrast with the usual thermostats, where the ON / OFF points are not precisely set (they are roughly somewhere near the desired values, and in some of them you have also continuous retriggering when the temperature sways around the OFF point), this one can be set to operate where you want, and stop where you want – no unwanted false retriggering. And they cost almost the same with a normal thermostat. Their only disadvantage when compared to a normal thermostat is that in order to operate they need an auxiliary power of 12 volts – which in my case I gladly provided through a small voltage regulator circuit, just to get rid of the start/stop of the fan motor every one minute or so.
