UI is a bit clunky with the stepless taking WAY too long to activate and function. Had me thinking it was broken before it started and getting impatient when it finely did. WAY TOO SLOOOW. Also the ramping stops to flash twice at 50% and then three times at 100%. I don't like having my EDC slowing me up. Very frustrating. The only way to actually use this effectively during the day is just to set it on a brightness that works for most things and leave it there, defeating the whole reason for getting this particular light, in the first place; the stepless dimming feature. I didn't pick up on the fact that it doesn't have a pocket clip. Would not have ordered it if I had noticed that. The magnet is spot on! Very powerful! It will stay on a curved surface like a pipe. Very stable. Beam is very floody but throws well enough for most things. I actually prefer this for an EDC, very usable. A bit yellow for my taste but OK. I got the two battery tube also to be able to use non Li Ion cells. It does have a pocket clip but it doesn't fit the short tube. Seems to be about as bright with two Ni metal Hydride cells. Good option. Bottom line. Good overall. Bad interface. EDC for "neat" not work.
