Be advised that the clamp on this holder that affixes to the stem of your dial gauge spindle is a small diameter. It unfortunately will not work with my highest quality gauge, as its stem is too large. A cheaper gauge with a narrower stem performs too poorly to make use of this. My quality gauge has a stem diameter of 9.5mm, whereas a cheap gauge that fits this holder has a stem of 8mm. This was a fail for me, which is unfortunate as it was not a cheap item.
