LED floodlights look good and save electricity but they don't seem to last long. I have two 30W ones with dead LED chips lying around so I decided to try reviving them. To play it safe I get these 50W chips to run on a 30W driver. Hopefully they will last longer. The most difficult job is to open up the casing of the floodlight. Most LED floodlights open from the front (4 screws securing the glass panel). Take off 4 more screws on the reflector and you can see the LED chip module. After that it is an easy job. I'll advise you to open measue the dimension of the old LED chip first to make sure that it will fit. The thermo paste is a must (you can also get it from Banggood). A bit of soldering and it is back to service as a spare.
