The VU-meters looks and works very well out of box, except the back light. The producer made a mistake there and put the resistors with wrong values, that big resistors from the board have 430 ohms instead of, i guess, like ~43 ohms. I replaced the original resistors with 47 ohms / 5 watts ones (they are oversized at that wattage as they barely get warm, so i guess that you can use 1 or 2 watts resistors without any excesive overheating), and they light up just right now. The sensitivity of for the level of signal is perfect for what i need (input from an headphones amplifier), with the variable resistors tuned around middle position. Good product and good value for the money, with just that small downside of resistors fix. Overall i am very satisfied!

bought this as i always wanted a pair of Dancing Meters to "colour up" my Hifi system. initial testing shows both control board and meters are working well. as kit is mini one really needs lots of patience and fine finger work to put it together. overall its a fun kit even if one who has next to nothing know how about electronics as instruction provided is quite clear about the connections and it just require some basic soldering and wiring works. just need look for a nice box to house the meters and driver board i got mine from..... Banggood of course haha.... Overall a Highly Recommended kit.
