20W one is bright and you need a heatsink. I use a big CPU heatsink and it gets to around 40C. Soldering it is tricky. The aluminum backplate makes soldering difficult if your solder iron is not powerful enough as it draws a lot of heat.

soldering the connections requires a powerfull soldering iron and some practice. After that is done it works great after plugin it in. light spread without lens is very close to 180deg. requires a suitable cooling setup but worth the effort no other lamp is close as effective and cheap as it comes to light per money

The 50W is like a tiny sun on my work bench. I expected it to get hot, but it only gets warm mounted to an actively cooled aluminum heatsink. It's light has a pinkish/purplish hue. Impressive value.
