gregcutter123 I gather you mean the UV-5R as the black version. Makes no difference because all the baofeng analog range are the same in that the alphanumeric keys have no use at all. Can't even use them to give your programmed channel a name, this has to be done via the programming software and cable. Other than that i do not have an answer for you.

gregcutter123 Dependson line of sight. I have done 70 miles on low power with a hand held yaggi antenna but have also done the ISS on high power with the provided rubber duck.
