Danno Yes it comes with the connectors. They're not in the included list because they're already installed.

Danno Kopilot Lite does not have an airspeed sensor interface. It only calculates ground speed and does it by using GPS. Note that someone said it uses GPS during auto launch to decide when to turn on the motor but I believe that's incorrect because GPS is too inaccurate and its update rate is too slow for that. Instead, I believe it uses a linear accelerometer for that purpose during auto launch.

Danno Hi, I have the same version. The 2 pads labeled 'KEY' are in parallel with the push button switch. I assume that's so you can connect your own remote switch (maybe foot-operated) to use instead of the push button if you want. They provided 2 pads for an LED but didn't install it and didn't provide one in the kit. Watch the video on u tube ( watch?v=PB0znkuYR7Y&feature=emb_logo ) and you can see what the LED is used for. Since there's a piezoelectric speaker included, you don't have to have the LED since either one will indicate what mode the welder is in. Note that they incorrectly printed a symbol for a quartz crystal in the location where the electrolytic capacitor goes. Also note that they marked the positive pad for the capacitor. The capacitor positive lead is the longer one. The negative lead is shorter and is marked by a dashed stripe along the side of the capacitor.

Q: Can i use this circuit with 30A 12V Led Power Supply?

demandé par canuyanik sur 2020-12-18 10:06:17

Danno 30A is probably much too low. I haven't received the unit yet to measure the actual current but will do that when it arrives. I'm guessing that spot welding the metal strips this is intended for requires at least 100A, maybe more like 200A. One way you might be able to use the 30A supply is if you put a very large capacitance in parallel with the supply. The capacitor needs to have a very low ESR (equivalent series resistance). A 50,000uF, 15V, low ESR electrolytic capacitor might work but it may cost you $30 or more. To calculate the actual capacitance required, you need to know the required current and the period of the current pulse and assume a voltage change of about 1 volt, i.e. assume the capacitor voltage will drop from 12V to 11V during the pulse. C = (current x pulse period) divided by the voltage change. So if the current needed is 100A and the the pulse period is 5 milliseconds and the capacitor voltage change is 1 volt, then C = (100A x .005 seconds) divided by 1 volt = 0.5 farads or 500,000uF. That's going to require a bank of 10 paralleled 15V, 50,000uF capacitors. You might as well get a 12V car battery. I think it might be cheaper. But I could be wrong about the max current required.
