A powerful semi-thrower - as the inclusion of three XHP35 HI LEDs suggest it. For HaikeLite, including TexasAvenger's driver is a step upwards regarding features, and is one of the key features of MT09R. Build quality is very good again, it is up to the well earned expectations. Regarding electrical quality, there were some words spread about burnt FETs, but that is a problem so far only affecting the XHP70.2 version of MT09R as of my knowledge. Total power of the XHP35 HI version is less, so I expect, that this should not be a problem with my sample either. The beam of this flashlight is very unique - a few people mentioned, that the flower/petal shape of the spill edge looks a bit ugly, but I am not concerned with that (I almost even like it). The small and intense hotspot is surrounded by an unusually bright and large corona, which has a nice gradual fade out to the spill, which is bright, but fairly narrow - this is result of the very deep reflectors used around the LEDs. This means, that the flashlight beam is well directed, and does not over-illuminate nearby objects like other flooder flashlights, but it still has a good flood potential, so it is best suitable for scanning larger objects at medium to far distances on high power settings. The use of XHP35 HI LEDs means a much better tint shift characteristics (only very little perceivable) as well compared to the XHP70.2 version. The neutral white option for this flashlight looks like 3A tint - for people worrying about its greenness, I can say, the tint is not overly green at all. I think, this flashlight didn't get enough attention yet, but would be worthy for it.

This is my first dedicated thrower flashlight purchase after already looking at many different thrower flashlight models. I think, I made my best Astrolux purchase so far, because this model is really outstanding. The flashlight body already attracts eyes, but it is not extreme, just spectacular. The reflector size is a good choice for significant throw without requiring the flashlight to be extra heavy. The build quality is excellent, I like the knurling pattern of the battery tube very much and the cooling fins are also good-looking. The package also has a good set of accessories including a shoulder strap for people, who need to use this flashlight for an extended time (it was a very good idea to include that), and a lanyard as well for casual users. The emitter (heart of this flashlight) used is the XHP35 HI model of Cree. Because of the domeless design, there isn't any noticeable tint shift in the beam. The emitter is of standard CRI, but the 4000K CCT makes it very pleasant. A cool white thrower casts a more spectacular beam into the air, but neutral white ones does lose less contrast, when shined at a target through light fog, because of the less light scattering. Also, it is very nice for colors outside. The real hotspot is very narrow, but it has a nice, gradually fading corona as well, so while the beam is very throwy, it is still practical to use. The UI is rather simple, but I am happy with it. Only 4 output levels, but those are well chosen. The first level is barely making any spill, but has already an impressive throw distance. Second level is already in/over the C8 league, and because the narrower beam, it is nicely visible in the air. Third level is a steady high without any stepdown. Fourth level's stepdown is after a reasonable time. People can use higher levels for a prolonged time, as the emitter is only a mid-high power one (compared to other offerings), making this flashlight to have a very good throw-to-power ratio.

adam7027 I cannot understand, why people give 'reviews' like this. It is obvious from the design/look of this charger, that it will charge one battery at a time. No surprises are here. Btw it seems to be a fairly good travelling charger, I might consider getting one.

Q: Could you please sell the compatible MCPCB board as well?

adam7027 I need to alter my opinion a bit. This charger is still not the best value for the price, but mostly it can terminate, just a bit later, than the Nitecore D4. Still, readings can creep a bit, but I found out, that the initial bump (on charge start) is real, as the current makes a load on the battery. Somehow, the Nitecore charger hides this phenomenon (maybe a different way of measurement is used). So, I am sorry, if I made a few people discouraged about this charger. Basically it works.

I don't know, that if these phenomenons are present in all copies of this charger, or just mine, but I am not really happy with mine. After inserting a battery, there is a short time, when the voltage reading seems to be correct, but on start of charging, it bumps up sometimes by even 0.12 or more Volts. I am also cannot be sure about the reading at a later stage of the charging, because it tends to be climbing up, and dropping repeatedly (I have a Nitecore D4, and it has very accurate Voltage readings display). When I insert another battery in an empty bay when a battery is already being charged, the reading for the new battery and the already present battery again changes by a similar amount. Also, I found that when I inserted a battery in an empty bay while there were other batteries being charged, a charge termination occured on one of the already present batteries. On two occasons, I noticed the display showed 4.21V for a 3.7V lithium battery, for which the charging should be terminated at 4.20V. On the first occasion, my Nitecore D4 charger showed 4.16V for that battery (it was inserted at a nearly full status, and on-start reading bump was the case probably). On the second occasion, I started to charge a battery at around 3.8V, then once I seen that 4.21V reading, and immediately stopped charging, because there was no sign of termination (no flashing 'full' message, just reading - termination voltage was properly set on the charger to 4.20V) - my Nitecore D4 confirmed that it was a right decision, as it showed 'CHG FINISH' immediately after I inserted that battery. So - maybe this is a good charger to charge up lithium ion batteries to about 85-90%, but I am cannot be sure about termination, so this charger definitely should not be left unattended. I tried to charge NiMH batteries as well, so far, the reading bump was also present with those batteries, but charge termination worked for them so far.
