This has been my first WLtoys purchase and I must say they have picked up from where Tamiya left off. The value for money here is astounding. This is hands down better quality than Maverick and on par with FTX. Whereas with previous RTR models from known brands I have come across loose screws and poor fitment this has absolutely not been the case with this 12427. Everything has been screwed in well, no threading and locktite has been applied from the factory where it should be. As you can see from my photos I stripped down both the diffs to check for any swarf and apply grease but I needn't have bothered. Adequate grease was applied from the factory and the gear mesh was good. You could quite happily pull this out the box, charge the batteries and enjoy it as it is. I primarily run nitro but I purchased this for my partner to enjoy the hobby with me, she likes the looks of it and the lights and I can already tell just by running this around the house and feeling the flexibility in the plastics this will not need any maintenance and will not break for how she will be using it. Even though the prices on banggood have been increasing this is still incredible value for money, and at this price you could do whatever you want with this and not feel bad if you ruin it. If I had purchased this for myself I would be very tempted to fully lock the rear diffs, apply a very thick diff fluid to the front, fit oil shocks and a lower speed high turn motor and have this as a trail/crawler buggy. From the articulation out of the box I can tell it would be very capable! The reality is though this one will stay stock, the power from the 540 motor, esc and Li-ion batteries (with a deans connector!) are more than enough for a beginner. The radio feels great in the hand and is very responsive, it has steering trim and throttle rate adjustment too! Apart from the rear driveshaft the entire driveline is metal too. 11/10 from me!

UserUnknown It does OK in a trx4 defender, only problem is you can’t run the BEC at 7.4v unless you upgrade the shift and diff servos too.

Q: va bene per il wpl c24, ciao o saldature da fare ?

demandé par MarcoRasizzi sur 2021-08-17 03:10:48

UserUnknown it will work with a c24. but be very careful when connecting the battery connector. If you get this wrong it will destroy the board.

UserUnknown The wheelnuts are standard Nyloc 4mm nuts. They are a generic part and can be purchased online or at any hobby shop.

I bought this buggy to use as a trail truck/woodland basher than I could fit in my rucksack through the coming winter months. I changed the oil in the shocks for 600cst, put thicker grease in the diff's and removed the rear sway bar for better articulation over obstacles. I had every intention of taking it for an initial run and then performing some modifications (fitting 1.5" crawler tyres and locking the diff's with silicone earplugs), after the initial run I don't think I need to make any changes, its perfect! Electronics: The transmitter works great, trim, steering rate and throttle rate are easy to adjust. The ESC/receiver, while it is a 2in1 works really well, and is properly waterproof. Its very responsive, the range is good and I didn't have a single issue over my run which consumed 2 battery packs. The servo is a 5 wire which initially I thought was an issue but it performs really well and if it fails in the future I will replace it with the same unit. My only gripe was the bespoke battery connector which I have never seen before. Fortunately I can solder so replaced it with an XT60 connector. The motor is a 390 brushed motor, which for this buggy in my opinion is the best option. The ESC provides it with excellent modulation; it can drive at walking pace with light throttle and spin the tyres and jump with full throttle. It has a lot of torque which is great on the trail. Buggy: The buggy comes extremely well equipped. It has a solid rear axle at the rear with a sway bar (easily removed). The front is independent suspension using inbound cantilever style. It has oil shocks all around, I recommend using a thicker oil in them though as out the box they are a little bouncy. The drivetrain is all metal apart from the inner diff gears, with bearings all around and even some rubber sealed ones! It even has a slipper clutch which is insane value at this price. The tyres are glued to the rim, and while they do feel a bit firm they provide adequate grip.

Q: what kind of metal is it made of?

UserUnknown I would guess at steel, they're a lot stronger than the stock brass.

TMCCRC Unfortunately I think those springs are unique to those kits. I've personally never seen them sold separately. 😥
