Fantastic little brushless truggy. Incredibly tough and way faster than I anticipated. Definitely worth paying the little extra for this brushless version. I got this and the 16889 brushless monster truck version. They are almost identical, the shocks are longer and softer on the monster truck and they are placed on the other side of the rear axle - the upshot of this is more ground clearance and more wheelies! The tyres have different tread patterns, 16889 has more off-road style and 16890 has tyres slightly more on-road style but they both work great on all surfaces.

They are almost identical, the shocks are shorter and stiffer on the truggy and they are placed on the other side of the rear axle - the upshot of this is improved stability and fewer wheelies. The tyres have different tread patterns, 16889 has more off-road style and 16890 has tyres slightly more on-road style but they both work great on all surfaces.

This truck in brushless form is the ultimate version. The upgrade has made a fantastic RC even better. If you haven't got one of these yet, go for the brushless option if your budget will allow

These wheels fit the WLToys 144001 and give it much better off road capability and more top end speed. Good upgrade over stock wheels and tyres.

Bought for my HBX 16889 but they don't fit the front without rubbing the shell on full steering lock. I might modify my shell so they fit properly.

Awesome truck. Very nice colour. Be aware, the truck has been spray painted with a gloss glitter clear coat to look like metallic paint, but the body kit has not. The body kit parts are matte finished coloured plastic. I will add photos after putting it together.

Great truck at a great price in the sale. It is with noting the black drift wheels do not come with the truck which is a shame because that was one of the reasons I purchased it.

Fantastic upgrade. Installation is mega easy and the original transmitter works without the need for binding. Lights still work, gyro still works.. Plug and play! Truck is definitely faster with better acceleration however there is very minor cogging when launching from a standstill, though not enough to be an issue for me. Spins up the rally tyres with ease. I haven't tried it on the drift tyres yet. Recommended.

The vehicle itself seems fine and well made, but the battery gets too hot to touch when charging with the included charger. I don't think the charger is safe to use and as I have no confidence in the battery or charger I have not used it yet. I don't have any other NiMH batteries or chargers to try. I am quite disappointed this time.

Good replacement part for mine which broke during a frontal impact with a car tyre.

On face value these look ideal for an upgrade to the HBX 16889. I will review again after fitting and testing.

Exact replacement, just what I wanted. Includes body and wing. Mine got squashed in transit but hopefully it will still go on the car.
