Q: Anybody can run this receiver?

ccdevisser Yes, works great on my Tyro69. Solder Fport on the RX to the TX1 port on the flight controller (MatekF4). In Betaflight make sure to set the Serial Receiver Provider to FrSky Fport (and not SPEKTRUM2048!), channel map to AETR1234.

Finally: this nifty little receiver brings RSSI for Spektrum (DSMX) transmitters for very cheap! This receiver is compatible with DSMX spektrum transmitters (DX8Gen2 in my case), but internally translates the DSMX signal into FPort or SBUS output. This means your flight controller thinks it is talking to an FrSky receiver, while in fact you can use your Spektrum transmitter. As an added bonus you get the signal RSSI on Channel 12, which would otherwise require a much more expensive Spektrum DSMX SRXL2 receiver. The downside? Nonexistent documentation. It took me quite some time to figure out how to wire the receiver up, and correctly configure it in BetaFlight. The procedure is: 1) solder the signal wire to the FPort output on the RX (rightmost contact on PCB ), and to TX1 on your FC (in my case Matek F411). Using SBUS output from the RX did not work in my case. Soldering it to TX2 on the FC did not work in my case, apparently the FPort signal was not received. 2) to bind, switch off your TX, power the FC and wait 15 seconds. After this time, the RX automatically switches into bind mode, and you can bind your Spektrum TX. I had no success using the set spektrum_sat_bind command in the BetaFlight CLI. 3) in BetaFlight in Configuration active UART1 for serial receiver, and set Receiver mode to Serial Based Receiver. For Serial Receiver Provider use FrSky FPort (!!!). Yes, this receiver translates the DSMX signal into the FPort format! Interestingly, if you set Spektrum2048 as serial receiver provider, your TX will be able to communicate with the FC, but all channels will be completely messed up. 4) in Betaflight receiver tab set channel map to AETR1234. Channel 12 holds the RSSI signal! 5) In CLI set: set serialrx_halfduplex = ON set serialrx_inverted = OFF Done! For the manual of the (related?) XR600 series, see http://www.overskyrc.com/fillib/XR600T%20series%20RX%20manual.pdf
