jono667 well of course it can with a transformer or switching power supply, but not with this unit.

jono667 if your cigarette socket doesn't power off when the car is off, then the unit will continue to be powered up. you need to use a socket that turns off once the car is off

jono667 I would recommend adding lubricant if drilling into aluminium, and still drilling relatively slowly. aluminium is just plain annoying to drill into with these types of bits
