Don't get these wet. Inside those cloth strips is just bare copper wire :)). Some of the listings for these say 'carbon wire', but they are all just stripped wires. The button has a small pcb inside with a microcontroller and MOSFET to turn them on and off. It draws 1.6A at 5V due to the resistance of the wires, there are no extra resistors or anything else. Just a PCB and some wire. It does kind of heat up, but not as much as the ones with less pads. If you use them with a fixed voltage power supply
