Works well, very compact adapter. I put up a picture showing how you can modify the board to work with Arduino. Just cut the trace going from the chip to the R3 resistor, then solder a tiny wire from the chips' top left pin (pin 28) to the RST pin.

Drivers available: http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx I didn't need to install driver for openSUSE 12.3 (3.7.10 kernel). As usual, a tiny bit of documentation would be comforting. Using the supplied jumper between RXC and TXC, loopback works. Remove jumper. Connect GND (blk) to GND, RXC (wht) to RXD, TXC (gry) to TXD, 5V (vio) to VCC. (RST (blu) to RESET?)

There isn't DTR contact. Because of this you can not flash micro minimOSD (I think other osd plates too)

Buon convertitore USB TTL, realizzato discretamente ed isolato con guaina termorestringente trasparente. Ha tre LED sul pcb che conferma la sua alimentazione e di funzionamento. La scocca del connettore USB non è ben saldato al pcb, si consiglia di saldarlo al pcb per evitare rotture in fase di inserimento o estrazione da/verso porta USB, comunque io ho ripassato tutte le saldature del connettore USB. Compresi 4 cavetti da 12 cm per il collegamento. Consigliato per programmazione ESP8266.
