This is a great little transmitter but I don't know why they have used this case for, an external finned heat sink would work better and be cheaper to produce.

When you remove the transmitter, this gold case is significantly lighter and smaller. He does not overheat during the flight

It works! I have mine set up about 300 meters (through trees) away from the receiver in a stationary emplacement as a security camera transmitter , and reception is strong. I did add a small 12V fan screwed to the end of it, to keep it from overheating, since there is no airflow over it as it would have on an RC plane or 'copter. They do get hot and probably would not last long without airflow

This is a pretty straight forward tx. Not much to it. I don't like how there is no input voltage range listed. It runs at 12 v but of course can vary slightly without problem. It's just that in 2020 you should be able to have several input v even at this price point.

As soon as I got this the case was removed, removed a lot of weight. Only tested so far and is working.
