This camera records at 720p/15fps on a microSD card. There is no way to automatically record 1080p, only manually pressing the record button live (after selecting high quality mode) will record this on your phone's internal storage at 1080p/15fps. It has an ultra low quality view mode so that live stream is fast and responsive, this is a Mi camera plus that that the Yi cameras are not good at. However, until the new functionality of recording to a LAN SMB network hard drive is explained, you're better off buying a cheaper Yi Dome which has a lot more functionality, is in English, can record at 720p/20fps and has 10 second Yi cloud storage for each event.

I'm living in Switzerland an therefor i don't understand chinese. Although it's impossible to load the app from the swiss app store! I didn't find any explanation how to use the camera. I'm very disappointed and can't use this camera at all!!
