    Howdy, this little model is great fun! It took about an hour to build all-in (used hot glue). It flies fast & slow, super slow in fact & you can pull most moves off with it. There are a few points worth mentioning. The control horns are rubbish, so use your own. Also the elevons need an piece of carbon fiber down their length to help the elevon move across the whole length of the surface and I had to run a knife down the underside of the elevons to help them move more freely. Besides that flies great and it's well worth the £15 or so. Note: You do need supply your own electronics with this kit and pushrods ARE included in the kit. Hope that helps! Matt

    This is my second plane. I started off with a Sky Surfer (1400mm Bixler-style), but I wish I had just bought this wing as my first plane. It flies a little faster than the Sky Surfer, but its agility makes it easier to fly in a small space like a park or rugby/soccer/NFL field. Its light weight and EPP foam means it hasn't been damaged at all on several nose-ins at half throttle when trying to set up my flight controller's auto-level. It did get a small tear in the leading edge of a wing after landing in a tree though, so tape or lamination film on the leading edge is recommended. The included prop does not have a 5mm ID, so if you buy a quad/drone motor, you will need to get matching props too. Keep in mind if you use a quad/drone ESC, the prop will brake instead of freewheeling when you drop the throttle, so this will decrease your glide distance. The wingspan is actually 580mm and the airframe itself weighs just 53 grams. If you add only a 14500 lithium cell, a receiver and two servos you can have a slope soarer that weighs only 95g and can glide in a light breeze (plus it's legal to use near Australian airports if it's under 100g). My build was an 1808 quad motor, a 20A quad ESC, a 5030 2 blade prop, a KK2 mini flight controller, a 3A BEC, a PPM receiver (very light, no PWM pins), a Turnigy Nanotech 460mAh 2S lipo, and 2x HobbyKing 3.7g ultra micro servos. The servos don't fit perfectly. The length and width is perfect, but the holes in the wing aren't deep enough. You can't cut them much deeper because the carbon spar underneath is in the way. See picture. The KK2 mini flight controller is too large to fit under the plywood motor mount. The mount is only 30mm wide, so I recommend a 20x20 flight controller. The processor doesn't matter as much as in a quadcopter, so just look for lower current draw to extend flight time. This build weighs 150g as I'm flying in the video. It has enough power that I can easily throttle out of a stall and fly vertical, but can fly slow enough to be easy to handle. It's very hard to handle in the 10km/h breeze without the flight controller in stabilization mode. I highly recommend using a FC. The build with the recommended parts in the listing will fly very slow and docile and would be perfect for a kid or a beginner without any simulator experience in no wind. If I add a regular size VTX, cloverleaf antenna with case and ultra light camera for FPV, it weighs 174g. The Eachine TX02 is a better option at only 155g flying weight. If you want a HD camera and a full size VTX, get the 800mm DW wing instead.

    This wing once tamed is excellent for learning, or transitioning to wings with. It is best set up with minimal weight, I run 2s 500mah,DYS D1410 4000KV Micro 5g Mini Brushless Motor, and the supplied 5030 prop, using a 6a esc and flysky X6B receiver, I get 20 minute powered flight times carrying an MC-01 fpv camera, with around 1km range, limited only by the 25mw. It did need an extra bec for the MCo1. Also I run 5g servos and slitted 2/3 of the elevon hinges to free them up, and also fitted adjustable servo links, with better bell cranks, the supplied ones are useless. I also re positioned the servo's to better effect, and added some 1mm carbon rods in as far across as possible. My all up weight is 140g with battery. The canopy is carved from an easter egg package and reduces drag for better thermal glide performance. So far my record is 32 minutes with about 25 in thermal, but the camera drained the battery before I intentionally landed... its foam is literally un breakable and I have slammed mine so many times with no damage at all as can be seen in pics. Keep rates low, I run 50% aileron and 40% elevator with only about 20% expo and only slight reflex (see pic). I also rounded off the shelf in front of the prop for better aero, and shaved the elevon trailing edges. For what is is, price wise, simplicity and size it is excellent value.

    Flies great with a 1806-2300kv motor and 3s 500mah battery. I have a 600mW tx and run cam on mine and it handles it all well. I would not do a full throttle dive on this power setup as I am sure it would flap but it runs around at 1/3 throttle no problem. C.G. may be a little conservative, I am still experimenting. Can't beat it for the price. I also used stronger pushrods and horns with hs-56 servos. The plan is to use it for fpv combat with a friend. We shall see how it holds up to some serious abuse.

    I felt good when painting! FPV camera can record beautifully with DVR function. Can it be finished a little lighter?

    Great value and performance for the money. Take a bit of time and fine tune the CG for a flat glide from a hand toss with the least amount of reflex. I added weed whacker line to the LE and installed perpendicular pushrods. That way you can program 90 degrees on a switch for either one or both elevens for some fun aerobatics like multi flips and flat spins. Keep it light and you will be rewarded. Fly SMALL, have a BALL.

    The wing it's fantastic! I build the wing in 3 hours, i use hot glue for assembly. It's most resistant to crash.

    Very easy to build and just as easy to fly. This wing is as simple as you can get yet flies as good as the best of them.
