i bought this adapter for an old triple E27 kitchen light so i could use the B22 bulbs we have laying around, and all i can say is the adapter appears pretty solid if you don't know, although you can use fluorescent bulbs in an E27 holder the manufacturers don't recommend it, as it can shorten the life of the bulbs (i'e they get to hot if the shade has no air holes well this unit brings the bulb out of the holder just enough to to keep the electronic parts cool
