This kit probably provides the easiest way for the DIYer to cut wooden beads yourself. It would probably the best to only use with softwoods, because the prongs of the blade does not seem that strong. Also best would be to only use it in a drill press for accuracy and control. Use wood of the same thickness as the diameter of the bead, to minimize wear and tear and stress on the blade. For a 28mm bead I found a speed of 200 rpm works well.
