I built a nice bench supply using the DP30V5A power convertor. I 3D printed an enclosure for it and used some parts I had lying around. Works great!

The unit itself is tiny, really neat! As the pictures in every DP_ _V_A seems to be the same and differ from photo to photo i'll attach a few photos of the DP30V5A unit. The heatsink is small, but not as small as on some of the pictures. The input/output terminal is removable so you don't have to put stress on the solder pads and board. The interface is a bit confusing, to set output variables you press set, but to skip to next integer within the value you press the knob. Haven't used the memory function yet. I've also attached a photo metering the unit with a DSO138. Not the best scope, and i don't know how accurate the readings are. But, with a input voltage of 28v and an output of 4.5 and close to 3 watts output the heatsink barely gets hot. A note though, the buck-converter states (in data sheet) that it is regulating constant at 150kHz, but according to my measurements at the current load it is actually regulating at about 70kHz. Also, the voltage ripple seems to be about 13 mV, not super smooth. This isn't a unit for super sensitive electronics but at a really good value to get you going to som fun electronics projects.
