I looks and feels like the real deal. I think it by itself is great deal however it might have blown up 2 out of 3 USB ports on my laptop. I will still check later on linux if this is the case. Just to let you know it is a hungry one.

I should have read the only other review there where it said auto-flashing is not included. You have to push the reset button to flash micropython. On the other hand, my sd card slot works without any issues. There might be pull-up resistors on the SD lines but I can't tell without a schematic. I'm going to give this board a 4/5 considering what it has to offer at its price but for micropython beginners you should look for dev boards that have auto-flash hardware.

Shipping was all good. The package arrived on time and securely packed. Unfortunately the unit was damaged. Every time the board gets plugged in with a micro USB cable to power the unit it starts to get tremendoulsy hot within seconds leading to the destruction of the Board. I tried several times with caution to power the board (= plug in micro USB and wait if it gets hot; If yes immediately plug it off power & repeat) since i thought it might work out fine at some point. But everytime it overheats as mentioned before within seconds leading inevitably to the destruction of the board due to overheating. I read in the assessment section of banggood.com that there are issues with overheating. Unfortunately i only can confim them. Moreover the on-board LED seems to have some issues too, since it consistently flickers on a dimmed level. In my opinion this is an issue you can easily ignore if the board is working in general properly but i thought its worth mentioning.

Paid $5 shipping and received in 12 days, which is not bad. Unfortunately my unit would not read the SD card properly and after searching around for the schematics I was able to remove a faulty mosfet (meant to pull pin 2 low for auto-flashing) which was pulling GPIO2 high somehow. I the whole 'auto-flash' system wasn't working right out of the package and I've had to add some pull-down resistors and a switch to manually enable flashing. This design also has a history of power issues and overheating, has been discontinued by the original designer https://wiki.wemos.cc/products:lolin32:lolin32_pro Not recommended.
