I compared this to a 500 lumen flashlight and this product is much brighter. I am not certain if it is the full 1500 lumens but it is at least 1000 lumens. I took it apart to check the waterproofing and there was none so it is not IP65 rated as it says. It could be made more splash resistant with silicone applied to the right spots and I might do this. I would otherwise not use it where it could get rained on or splashed. The metal mounting bracket is also part of the heat sync and gets hot so be careful if mounting to plastic. It's definitely a good price for what you get. I bought two.
