Until they develop a device that will automatically lift & close seat for my 14 year old son this will have to do. -Good detection of movement -Properly responds to room brightness -Easy to select color -Decent quality: Not to be gross but not sure if entire unit is water-proof.

Actually, I am using it as emergency light in my second floor exit, because of earthquakes.

Works like it suggested however for my toilet anyway I walk directly face on in to it so it doesn't work that great when in that angle. I think if your toilet is kinda like side on facing when you walk in that would work much better.
