Works as it said on the website: to convert 110V to 220V. Got a bit confuse when read on the box, the opposite (220V to 110V). Did test with a reader and the output is really 220V. UNBEATABLE Price with free delivery

I have no idea how well this handles mains voltage as I took a gamble buying it in the hopes it would contain a 2:1 coil transformer, now I can switch between 24VAC & 12VAC. A bargain for a couple of quid.

I tried this unit on a 30 watt clipper for 5-10 minutes with minimum heat build up. I checked the voltage with no load. It was 238 volts. So far so good.
