I purchased 110 of these cables. Although the Banggood sit said there are enough stock, my order went from processing to backorder for a week before shipping process started. Out of the 110 units, I have found one unit that wass an odd one out, as all the units was packaged in plastic, but this one looks like it was used. All 109 others had a tiewire around it, but one had just been hand rolled. see attached pictures. The odd one out was tested, and found to be working fine so no problems there. I am about 35 units into the 110 and found only one so far not working, just gives USB Device Not Recognised. I can live with that, so overall good product and experience.

CH340 family USB to Serial ports are indeed supported by many versions of Windows and Linux - No problems were experienced on either platform once the correct drivers were located and installed - Even though they were advertised initially as not being supported by Windoze!
