IR mode works fine. Great resolution, fast updating. So you have a really detailed live picture. Screenshots can be stored internally (about 40-50 pictures, I'd guess - I only took 6 and they take up 13% of memory). It is charged by USB-C and you can download the pictures via USB-C, the device is just an external drive. No special software needed on PC. There is no visual light camera that could superimpose borders of objects in the picture as you may find with some more expensive IR cameras, but the resolution is good enough. Would by again - hope it lasts a long time. Btw: the removable battery on the backside covers a lithium accumulator, so that can be changed should it lose capacity - nice!
